The Prince of Wales’s Chair of Childhood Epilepsy

The Prince of Wales’s Chair of Childhood Epilepsy is a joint appointment between Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), the Institute of Child Health (ICH) and the NCYPE.

Professor Helen Cross is the current incumbent of the post and is leading research work across all three organisations.

Professor Cross and the team will be undertaking research aimed at increasing understanding of the underlying mechanisms in childhood epilepsy and the associated behaviour and learning difficulties.

Expertise within the unit will be used to translate scientific and epidemiological findings into clinical evaluation and treatment with collaboration within the Institute, across the university, nationally and worldwide.
